The state of the world, instrumented
Six panels, each one a century of published data with the engine's forward overlay drawn on top and the boundary between them always marked. Solid cyan is history — measured, cited and dated to its source. Dashed orange is probabilistic simulation, labelled as such, sealed on 2026-07-03 so it can be scored later rather than quietly revised. No projection is ever backdated, and every forward line starts at the same place: July 2026.
What the six panels measure
Geopolitical risk — great-power rivalry, alliance hardening and arms tempo against their nineteenth- and twentieth-century analogues. Debt and monetary order — sovereign debt load, rate pressure and the reserve system. Machine cognition — capability, adoption and the capital being spent on it. Asset classes — the long price record of equities, gold and the rest. Era similarity — how closely the present rhymes with 1895–1955, as a stylized composite index rather than a measurement. The long wave — Kondratieff's cycle, shown with its own criticism attached.
Beside each panel is the live reading from the Loom's matching strand, so the historical chart and the engine's current state can be read together. The charts are the case for the method; the product is the sealed record — see the calibration ledger, the live projections and the Core that moves them.
