Blavatsky’s synthesis of Hindu, Kabbalistic and Hermetic cosmology proposes that civilizations rise and fall in vast nested cycles, each collapse carrying seeds of the next. The platform reads it not as cosmology but as anthropology: documentary evidence that every ancient tradition independently encoded the same intuition — history is periodic — which is precisely the hypothesis this engine formalizes.

Kept as evidence rather than cosmology: it is the fullest single catalogue of humanity's oldest intuition that time is periodic, which is precisely the hypothesis the resonance index and the era-similarity overlay exist to make falsifiable.

The record

The Secret Doctrine appeared in 1888 in two volumes — Cosmogenesis and Anthropogenesis — from the Theosophical Publishing Company of London and New York, with Theosophical records putting Volume I off the press on 20 October 1888 and its 500-copy first printing sold out before publication day.
Blavatsky presented the whole work as a commentary on the Stanzas of Dzyan, an archaic text she said was written in a lost language called Senzar, and no scholar of ancient languages has ever found an independent trace of either the book or the language.
William Emmette Coleman traced her material to identifiable modern sources used without attribution, among them H. H. Wilson's translation of the Vishnu Purana, Alexander Winchell's World Life and Ignatius Donnelly's Atlantis, and L. Sprague de Camp later summarised the result as plagiarism and fakery.
A revised third edition followed in 1893, an index in 1895, and a posthumous third volume assembled by Annie Besant from Blavatsky's papers in 1897; its readership carried into modern art, Wassily Kandinsky among the painters it reached.

The Secret Doctrine was the universally diffused religion of the ancient and prehistoric world. There are proofs of this in every existing religion.

Whatever its metaphysics, the cross-cultural convergence on cyclical time is real data about how long humans have been noticing the rhyme.
